School Trips

Experience Spanish language with your school class in Málaga! Our courses offer the perfect programme from beginners to advanced learners to make most out of your time at the Costa del Sol.

COMMUNICATIVE CLASSES (2 x 45 minutes a day)
Grammar and conversation are taught following a communicative methodology. The emphasis is on improving listening comprehension and speaking interaction in simulated and real situations.

WORKSHOPS (1 x 90 minutes a day)
The workshops relate to cultural topics and are designed interactively with local people. Every workshop is lead by a teacher and  a specialist in the topic. Our school also has  Spanish students  who attend our English classes and they are invited to take part in these workshops so that real conversation and exchange happens. This gives the school the special  atmosphere of an international campus. The core contents of the workshops can also be adapted to address the interests or syllabus of each group.

1. “Málaga History and Present” (half-day excursion):
In the  morning classes, the students are familiarized with the cultural aspects of different places of interest and the history of the city of Málaga. At the same time, references to the current situation of the city are made. In the afternoon, students will be taken on a  sightseeing tour including historical and alternative landmarks.

2. “Andalusian villages” (day trip):
This day trip includes the visit to two very different Andalusian villages in the province of Málaga. The first stop is the village of Frigiliana. It is a typical “Pueblo Blanco” and is located in the mountains. In this village we will perform a pedestrian rally where they will have to interact  with local residents and entrepreneurs in the Spanish language. The second station is Nerja. A tourist coastal village with a rich history dating back to the Paleolithic times. After a city visit, a beach afternoon is planned on one of its popular beaches.

Our teachers are Spanish native speakers and they all hold education degrees and masters in Spanish as a foreign language, as well as  course design  qualifications.  Our standard offered programme is easily adapted to the needs of every group, adding relevant topics from their syllabus.

We have carefully chosen the host families  and maintain a quality programme. This allows us to guarantee a very good standard regarding the accommodation and integration of the pupils in the host families. The homes are located in El Palo near the language school. Accommodation is either in a single or a double room. The stay includes  breakfast and lunch or dinner as agreed with each group.

Málaga is located in the centre of the Costa del Sol, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The city has a variety of sights. Its history goes back to the 8th century BC. A walk through the streets reveals ancient Roman ruins and Arabian castles or museums such as the “Center Pompidou”. In addition, theatre plays, concerts and sport events are held all the time. Beside this, Málaga has a fantastic weather all year round, providing the best conditions for a variety of outdoor activities. Our school is located in El Palo, a district of Málaga. El Palo offers the visitor an authentic picture of the Andalusian way of life. The former fishing village is also famous for its seaside fish restaurants and for its beaches. The distance to the city centre of Málaga is about 4 miles and can easily be reached by public transport.

We like to give suggestions for activities in and around El Palo (i.e. beach visits, bicycle tours, water sports such as kayaking or stand-up paddling) and make contact with the respective suppliers.
